Projects & Activities
The Period 2006 - 2007
-The entire roof of the Main Building was replaced through the combined efforts of the Ministry of Human Development and the kind donation from the Presbyterian Methodist Church Group.
-The Presbyterian Methodist Church Group painted the main building, did electrical and plumbing repairs and built a walk way linking the Main Building and the Activity Center.
-The Corner Stone Foundation of Bermuda under the leadership of Pastor Gary Simon refurbished the dormitories and the dining room and did other works that enhanced the appearance of the facilities and improved living condition for the children.
-The crew of the cruise liner Enchantment of the Sea of The Royal Caribbean Cruise Line through the efforts of Mr. Stanley Longsworth Jr. of Caribbean Shipping Agencies facilitates annual tours of the ship and they also make donations of gift items for the children in addition to donating house hold items.
-The Praying Pelican Mission Group and The First Baptist Church of Houston visit and interact with the children and donate personal care items for children.
-The Belize City Council through the efforts of Counselor Hyacinth Latchman Cuellar hosted a party for the children at the Princess Hotel.
-NICH through the efforts of Mr. William Neal arranged for Harold the Cuban Magician to visit the children and perform for them. A percentage of the proceeds from the magician’s performances were also donated to the Dorothy Menzies Child Care Center.
-Belize Telecommunications Limited donated free internet on March 21, 2007. This will greatly assist the children in their educational development.
